It was a close one for the Prescott girls swim team in Phoenix Thursday, but the Lady Badgers pulled it out with a team score of 118 over Trivium Prep’s 115. Thunderbird was a distant third with a 52. Prescott had a few double winners: Danica Aldag in the 100 fly and 100 breast, Nora Gunderson in the 200 IM and 100 back, Emma Crysler in the 50 free and 500 free, and Megan Lipp in the 200 free and 100 free. The Prescott boys had a tough day, placing third with a 70. Trivium Prep won it with a 114 and Thunderbird was second with a 111. The Badgers 400 free relay of Evan Marlatt, Kye Raute, Lucas Hall, and Eli Buettner came in first.
Over in Prescott Valley, the Bradshaw Mountain swim team managed to avoid the storms to get in their meet. The boys defeated Flagstaff 63-21, but the girls lost to Flag 99-46. For the boys, Levi Rapp won the 100 fly and 100 back, and Joe Holtzman won the 50 free and 100 free. Taylor Houck was first in the girls 100 back.
