Those pulled pork sandwiches in your freezer may not be edible. According to Yavapai County Community Health Services, E.A. Sween Company is recalling nearly 128,000 pounds of BBQ pulled pork sandwiches that may contain pieces of plastic.
The recall involves five-and-a-half ounce “Deli Express BBQ Pulled Pork on a Sesame Bun” sandwiches produced between January and October of this year. The products were shipped to retail locations nationwide. The company received multiple complaints from consumers who found plastic in the sandwiches. Officials say the contamination came from plastic barbecue sauce bottles used in production.
No injuries have been reported. If you have this product, throw it out, or return it to the store you bought it from.
