There’s a lot going on for Bradshaw Mountain this week when it comes to post-season action. It all begins tonight with the opening round of the 4A Conference flag football state playoffs. The Lady Bears will actually remain within Yavapai County as they head to Cottonwood to face Mingus, who are the number three seed. Bradshaw Mountain makes its playoff debut as the number 14 seed. During the regular season, the Lady Bears lost to the Lady Marauders 28–0. The game starts at 6 p.m.
In tackle football, Bradshaw Mountain will also square off against a familiar foe. The number three Bears host number 14 Coconino Friday. When these Grand Canyon Region rivals met during the regular season, Bradshaw earned a hard-fought 28–21 win. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
Then on Saturday, the Bradshaw Mountain boys cross country team will take part in the Division II state meet, along with Sara Harmon on the girls side. The meet takes place at Phoenix’s Cave Creek Golf Course.
