ERAU Women’s Soccer Players Receive All-GSAC Honors; Newlin Frosh of the Year

No surprise, after going unbeaten in the regular season, the Embry-Riddle women’s soccer team wound up with several players securing all-conference honors. One of the big awards went to Molly Newlin, who was named the Great Southwest Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year. She registered five goals and five assists during the regular season.

Other Lady Eagles on the all-conference team are Jamie Brandon, who has 17 goals and was no doubt a Player of the Year candidate; Jamie Black, who has 13 goals; Tessa Updegraff, who has garnered nine goals; Samantha Wright, who has 13 assists this season; keeper Aubie Dupre, who has posted a 0.62 goals-against average; and defender Natalia Sepulveda.

Some notable absences from the All-GSAC team for Riddle include Kari Kasun with nine goals, Kaitlyn Roskopf with seven goals and six assists, and defensive stalwart Lauren Otto.
