Quite a few local volleyballers received all-region honors, with one getting a big honor. Prescott’s Ruby Jensen was named the Grand Canyon Region Offensive Player of the Year. She recorded 374 kills this season. Jensen was also a first team selection, along with teammates Bella Abt and Kate Wright, and Bradshaw Mountain’s Kenzie Strader and Kenzie Proffer.
On the all-region second team are Bradshaw Mountain’s Emma Johnson, Eliana Moll, and Annie Platt. Honorable mentions went to Prescott’s Libby Hlavacek, Leah Jolley, and Jade Furr, and Bradshaw’s Kenna Martinez, Ashley Johnson, and Abby Ipson.
Making the all 3A West Region team from Chino Valley are Avery Bradshaw, Peytan Granillo, Jayden Vander Molen, and Makenzie Grygar, who all received honorable mentions. In the 1A Central Region, honorable mentions went to Mayer’s Hailey Correll, Gracie Hood, and Isabella Morales.
