They are off to a terrific start. The Embry-Riddle baseball team began its 2026 season Friday at the Coach Calderone Invitational in the Valley.
First up was Evangel University from Missouri. The Eagles hung an eight-spot on them in the second inning and went on to get the 11–4 victory. Konner Nelson drove in three runs.
Next came two games versus Justice University on Friday and Saturday. Riddle had to come back a couple of times and clipped the Lions 14–13. James Warren drove in three runs. The second game against Justice Saturday went much easier for the Eagles, as they got the win 11–2. Miles Murphy homered and drove in four runs. Keegan Eberly was the winning pitcher with six strikeouts.
In the finale Saturday afternoon, Embry-Riddle had another offensive outburst and thumped Nelson University 11–4. Konner Nelson went 4-for-5 with a solo home run and three runs scored.
