Crews from the Sedona Fire Department rescued a mountain biker in a remote backcountry area last Friday. The biker experienced a serious medical issue in a location difficult to reach by foot, resulting in a Guardian Medical helicopter being called in to assist.
Ground and air crews worked together to safely get to the patient, provide immediate medical care, and transport him to the helicopter landing zone. The patient was airlifted to an area hospital for further evaluation and treatment. No details about the patient’s condition have been released.
