Chino Valley police say a targeted speed enforcement detail last week resulted in dozens of traffic stops and multiple arrests.
The operation took place the morning of January 22nd when Chino Valley police partnered with the Tri-City Task Force, which includes the Prescott Police Department and the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office.
The four-hour detail ran from 6 to 10 a.m. and resulted in 53 vehicle stops. Officers issued 44 speeding citations, along with 44 additional traffic citations for other violations. Police also issued one criminal citation, made two arrests, and impounded one vehicle.
The Chino Valley Police Department said the enforcement effort was supported by grant funding from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety and is part of ongoing efforts to improve traffic safety throughout the Tri-City area.
