ERAU Basketball’s Dress Named GSAC Defensive POTW

He is mainly known for his offensive prowess. This time, however, Peter Dress was recognized for his defense. The Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University basketball player was named the Great Southwest Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week. In last week’s game versus Ottawa University, Dress played stifling “D” against the Spirit, which led to him getting four steals and four defensive rebounds. That kept Ottawa to 56 points, while the Eagles notched 82. Dress also posted 11 points in the game.

A native of Kennewick, Washington, Dress has recorded 151 rebounds and 14 steals this season for Riddle. He is also averaging 14.6 points per game, helping the Eagles to a 12–8 overall record and a 5–3 mark in GSAC play.

Dress and the rest of the Embry-Riddle men’s basketball team are on the road this week. They’re at Park University tomorrow and at Arizona Christian University Saturday.
