In their last three games, the Prescott girls soccer team had been unable to put the ball in the net. On Tuesday, it looked like they would be shut out for the fourth game in a row. That was until Sadie Garrett got the Lady Badgers on the board to tie Flagstaff. That sent the game into overtime. Prescott had quite a few chances to get the go-ahead goal but could not convert any of their opportunities. The Lady Eagles also could not score, and that resulted in a 1–1 draw.
That puts Prescott’s overall record at 3–5–1 for the season. Still, the Lady Badgers are ranked number 17 in the power points rankings, and the top 24 teams make the postseason. Only three more games remain in the regular season for Prescott. They host Coconino tomorrow, are at Bradshaw Mountain February 3rd, and conclude the regular season at home February 5th versus Lee Williams.
