At the 2026 Prescott Valley State of the Town event, town officials presented this year’s Light of PV Award. The award aims to honor individuals who are dedicated to serving the community. This year, the award was presented to Ann Wilson and her late husband, Bob Wilson, for their work with the Yavapai County Food Bank.
Town officials say the Wilsons have dedicated themselves to providing a wide range of necessities, including food, school supplies, coats, blankets, and other provisions, connecting the community through service. They say the nomination for the award came directly from community members who witnessed the couple’s generosity.
