The weather did not cooperate with the Embry-Riddle softball team in its home opener Monday, as it was very windy and very cold. Their opponent, the College of Idaho, also did not cooperate as they swept the Lady Eagles by scores of 15-6 and 17-5.
Jade Bayless socked a three-run homer in the second game and tells The News :
Leah Salas homered and drove in three runs in the first game. Anise Romo had RBI doubles in both games.
Embry-Riddle falls to 2-4 on the young season. They head out to Shawnee, Oklahoma for the NAIA Softball Invitational this Friday and Saturday. The Lady Eagles’ next home game is March 4th, a double-header versus Mount Mary University.
