It was supposed to happen on Wednesday, but the winter storm forced them to reschedule. Today, the Prescott boys soccer team heads to Flagstaff to try and get in their 4A Conference state tournament game. Their opponent, another Grand Canyon Region team, Coconino. The Badgers are the number nine seed and the Panthers are number eight. Prescott is 9-4 overall and region champions, while Coco is 10-1-2. The Badgers won the regular season meeting with the Panthers 4-0. The game starts at 4 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Bradshaw Mountain girls basketball team will play in a warmer climate as they head down to Tucson tonight for the 4A Conference state play-in game. They face Sahuaro. The Lady Bears are the number 20 seed and the Lady Cougars are the number 13 seed. Sahuaro is coming into the contest having lost seven games in a row. Tip-off is 7 p.m.
