Concrete repair work at several intersections in downtown Prescott originally scheduled for this week has been delayed by the winter weather and is now scheduled to begin Monday.
City officials say crews will work at the intersections of Montezuma Street and Goodwin Street, as well as Cortez Street and Goodwin Street. Repairs will be completed one intersection at a time to help maintain both vehicle and pedestrian access. However, drivers and walkers should expect temporary sidewalk and crosswalk closures, along with partial intersection shutdowns.
Construction hours are set for weekdays from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. Traffic on Montezuma and Cortez streets will remain open in both directions, and access to local businesses will continue throughout the project. Motorists are urged to follow posted signs and allow extra travel time when moving through the downtown area.
