A Seligman man is facing felony charges after a burglary at a local business caused nearly $70,000 in damage — over what Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office investigators say was a grudge.
The break-in happened in January at a popular Seligman business. The suspect stole approximately $3,000 in cash and merchandise, but the real toll came from the destruction — nearly $70,000 in damage to the store’s structure and inventory.
YCSO Investigators identified 19-year-old Jacob Tracy of Seligman through surveillance footage. Detectives say Tracy was upset that the business owner had fired someone close to him. When deputies arrested Tracy on March 16th, he was found with evidence linking him to the crime.
Tracy is charged with first-degree burglary, criminal damage, and theft.
