Officials with the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority remind residents of the importance of wearing seatbelts, and even more so around children. They say children copy what they see and are less likely to wear a seatbelt if caregivers don’t.
Sixty-four percent of children killed while riding unrestrained in 2023 were riding with a driver who was not using a seatbelt.
