PHS Boys Tennis Double-Up Mingus

The Prescott boys tennis team carried over their good fortunes from their win over Bradshaw Mountain last week into Tuesday’s contest with Mingus. A strong performance by the Badgers’ top four players paved the way to a 6–3 win over the Marauders.

Bridger Mangum dropped the first set of his number two singles match, then took the next two sets 6–1 and 10–7. Paxton Brown had a close match in number three singles, winning it 6–4 and 6–4. Seth Walker won at number one singles 6–1 and 6–0, and Carson O’Neill got the deke at number four singles 6–2 and 6–3. Walker and Brown, and Mangum and O’Neill won their doubles matches 8–2. Pierce Tenney won his second set at number six singles to force a third-set tiebreaker, but came up short in the final frame.

Prescott is now 6–2 on the season. They head to North Canyon Thursday.
