The Chino Valley baseball team finished the week strong. Friday, the Cougars hosted Parker, who had a very hard time getting to Jacob Boivin on the mound. He allowed just two hits and one run while striking out six as Chino derailed the Broncs 7-1. Boivin also had two RBIs. Ryan Lamotte had an RBI and two runs scored. Destry Owings also scored two runs.
Friday was also a good day for the Chino Valley softball team. They also hosted Parker, and used a 12-run second inning to power their way to a 15-2 thrashing of the Lady Broncs. Maleah Garcia was the winning pitcher with seven K’s. Brielle Bell went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Samantha Amaya tripled, drove in two runs, and scored two runs.
Both the Chino Valley baseball and softball teams are off this week. They return to action April 13th at Kingman.
