PHS Baseball Wipes Out Westview

The Westview baseball team picked a bad time to play Prescott. The Badgers were coming off two close losses to their rival Bradshaw Mountain when they entered Friday’s contest with the Knights. Prescott was no doubt still stinging from those defeats and needed an outlet for their frustrations. The Badgers notched six runs in the first two innings, then went on a rampage in the third inning, scoring eleven runs. The game concluded early on the run rule, with Prescott crushing Westview 18-3.

Nick Martin went 4-for-4 with five RBIs and four runs scored. William Horn tripled and drove in three runs. Travis Gates also had three RBIs. Brody Hanna scored three runs and drove in a run. Gino Lowe was the winning pitcher with five strikeouts.

Prescott is 12-7 on the season. They are at Lee Williams tomorrow, then host the Volunteers Thursday.
