Prescott Receives Trail Town Designation

Prescott has earned national recognition as a 2026 IMBA Trail Town due to the city’s commitment to building and maintaining high-quality trail systems.

The designation, awarded by the International Mountain Bicycling Association, recognizes communities with strong trail infrastructure, active local organizations, and a focus on sustainable outdoor recreation. Prescott Trails and Park Land Planner Chris Hosking says the honor reflects years of collaboration among volunteers, advocates, and land managers.

City officials say trail systems support tourism and local businesses, as Arizona’s outdoor recreation economy reached more than 15 billion dollars in 2024.

Prescott is one of 28 communities nationwide recognized for its trail development and stewardship.
