Quad City hunters are being reminded that all current crossbow permits and challenged hunter access and mobility permits, known as CHAMPS, will expire June 30, of this year.
The Arizona Game and Fish Department says anyone planning to hunt on or after July first using either permit must complete a new medical evaluation and submit a new application. Officials stress that only the updated application forms will be accepted. Outdated forms or forms obtained from other sources will not be processed.
Applications are now being accepted in person or by mail at any Game and Fish office.
The changes follow a regular review of Arizona Game and Fish rules. The updated rule package was approved by the Game and Fish Commission in September of last year and published earlier this year.
