Local scoreboard from yesterday, in baseball, Yavapai College swept Scottsdale Post Grad 1-0 and 2-1. Vinny Nielson had a walk-off hit in game two. Embry-Riddle fell to Ottawa 6-4. Miles Murphy had a triple and drove in two runs. Bradshaw Mountain got topped by Mingus 6-4. Chino Valley bested Camp Verde 10-4. Connor Peterson went 3-for-4 with two RBIs.
Softball, Yavapai College got swept by Pima 13-3 and 11-9. Prescott got shutout by Flagstaff 10-0. Bradshaw Mountain crushed Mingus 11-0. Kodee Statler was the winning pitcher with 9 K’s, and homered and drove in three runs. Chino Valley got clipped by Camp Verde 5-4. Breanne Petty went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Tennis, for the boys, Prescott overpowered Mingus 7-2. Girls, Prescott lost to Mingus 7-2.
Boys volleyball, Prescott swept Thunderbird 3-0. Zane Gaul recorded 22 kills. Bradshaw Mountain got swept by Greenway 3-0.
At the Top of the Mountain Track and Field Invite, Chino Valley’s Quenton Metz won the boys 32-hundred meter run.
