The Humboldt Unified School District just received a grant to help students become more proficient in language and math. The district was awarded a Continuous School Improvement Grant in the amount of $1.2 million from the Arizona Department of Education. It’s the largest federally-funded, state-based public education grant in Yavapai County history and will go toward a program called Project Momentum. Its goal is to increase student achievement in language arts and mathematics at a higher rate than the rest of the state while compensating teachers for their participation.
HUSD Superintendent Dr. Christine Griffin says Project Momentum will raise the bar and set new standards of achievement in education.
