They wanted one more Cal Pac Conference championship before moving on to the Golden State Athletic Conference… and they got it. In fact, the Embry-Riddle women’s golf team won their tenth straight conference championship Wednesday at Olivas Links in Ventura, California.
Hailey Stevenson, who was the individual Cal Pac Conference champion in her freshman season, won it again in her senior season. She was also named the Cal Pac Golfer of the Year. Riddle owned the top five places with Maisy Alsen second, Kaetlin Halseth third, Charlotte Griffin fourth, and Libby Axen fifth.
The Embry-Riddle men shot an 888 over the three-day tournament, finishing seven shots behind first place Benedictine-Mesa. Alex Kam finished in fifth place, with Jordan Garypie and Tyler MacPherson tying for seventh.
The Lady Eagles qualified for the NAIA National Tournament May 14th through the 17th in Illinois. The men are hoping for an at-large bid for the national tournament.
