The air quality in Yavapai County is considered good, according to the American Lung Association. The group released its “State of the Air” report, in which Yavapai County received a “B” grade for air quality. The report indicated that Yavapai had only one orange day last year, a time when the air is unhealthy for sensitive groups.
Other counties that earned a “B” for their air quality include Coconino, La Paz, and Navajo. In contrast, counties such as Gila, Pima, Pinal, and Maricopa received an “F”; Maricopa had 126 orange days last year.
