The monsoon season will arrive next month, and Yavapai County Emergency Management is seeking volunteers to help monitor the storms. A free weather spotter training class is scheduled for Monday at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Davis Learning Center. Participants will learn about the development of thunderstorms, how to identify and report severe storms, and safety tips for severe weather events.
No registration is necessary. The class runs from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
