Prescott Man Guilty of Crashing Stolen Car, Fleeing Police

A Prescott man who crashed a stolen car and fled from police has been found guilty by a Yavapai County Superior Court jury.

Raymond Jacob Kosse, 28, was found guilty of theft of means of transportation, unlawful flight from law enforcement, criminal damage, and criminal trespass last Thursday. According to court records, on February 16th, 2022, a police officer recognized Kosse as a person of interest in an open investigation. Officers from several law enforcement agencies made contact with Kosse, who fled the scene and later crashed his vehicle. Kosse ran away and stole another vehicle, but crashed that one as well. He fled again on foot but was tackled by several citizens who saw him running from the police.

Kosse is scheduled to be sentenced on June 28th. He is facing a minimum of eleven years in prison.
