YCSO Uses One Fraud Case to Solve Another

An investigation into a $14,000 theft ended with the resolution of a separate fraud case involving the theft of over $300,000.

According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, 49-year-old Marylee Moore of Camp Verde was arrested over the weekend on charges of using a company credit card to defraud her employer of over $14,000 before her termination. During the investigation, detectives learned of another fraud case involving Moore that had occurred several years earlier in Camp Verde. As the store manager at Earnie’s Smoke Shop (Mini Mart), Moore was found to have defrauded that business of more than $307,000. She faces additional charges of fraud schemes, theft, aggravated identity theft, and forgery.
