Five YC Baseball Players on All-ACCAC Team

Five players from the Yavapai College baseball team earned spots on this year’s All-ACCAC team. Four of them took home first team honors. They are Riley Nelson, Wailele Kane-Yates, Ryan Pruitt, and Nate Nichols.

Nelson batted .412 with 13 home runs—tying him for first in the conference—55 RBIs, which was second in the conference, 21 doubles and a .788 slugging percentage, both of which led the conference.

Yates hit .354 and tied Nelson for the conference lead in homers with 13. He also had 42 RBIs and 43 runs scored.

Pruitt hit .383 with five homers and 31 RBIs, and led the conference with 51 runs scored.

Nichols batted .371 with four homers and 25 RBIs.

Pitcher Traig Oughton made the all-conference second team. He went 7-1 with a 3.94 ERA and 59 strikeouts in 64 innings.
