Brush Fire in Cornville Threatens RV Park

A brush fire in Cornville last Thursday threatened several homes. According to the Verde Valley Fire District. The fire broke out near the Sunrise RV Park. Verde Valley Fire, along with units from the Forest Service, Cottonwood Fire Department, and Sedona Fire Department, managed to contain the flames before they reached any homes. The fire did cause damage to a fence around one structure.

The cause of the fire remains unknown. Meanwhile, as firefighters battled the wildfire, two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision at the RV park. The conditions of those involved in the crash are currently unknown.
