Arguments For or Against Public Safety Tax Being Accepted by City of Prescott

The filing period for arguments for and against the proposed public safety tax for the City of Prescott has begun. Residents have until July 12th to submit their comments on Prop 478 to the city clerk’s office. Those comments will appear in the November 5th election’s publicity pamphlet.

Submitted arguments shall not exceed three hundred (300) words in length; shall be accompanied by a $100.00 per argument deposit; shall include the signature of those providing the argument; a copy of the argument must be submitted in electronic format; must include an address and phone number for the person submitting the argument. That information will not appear in the publicity pamphlet.
