It’s a day many cyclists in the Prescott area have been waiting for. Phase one of the Bean Peaks Gravity Flow Trail is set to open next Friday. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. at the trailhead, which is three miles from downtown Prescott near the White Spar Campground. Gravity flow trails are optimized for mountain bikes with one-way trails featuring different types of jumps, berms, and technical rock features for a more challenging ride.
Phase one of the trail is a little over nine miles long. Construction of phase two is scheduled to begin this fall. Construction of phase three is planned for the fall of 2025.
