More recognition for Quenton Metz. The former Chino Valley runner was a nominee for AIA Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Metz was part of the state champion 4×800 relay team and signed with Grand Canyon University.
Alumni update time. Former Yavapai College baseball player Amari Bartee has done well at Hope International this season. He’s batting .294 with six home runs, 21 RBIs, four doubles, two triples, 37 runs scored, and a .513 slugging percentage.
