Three juveniles were arrested for attempted auto theft after leading Yavapai County sheriff’s deputies on a foot pursuit in Castle Canyon Mesa. According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were called to a residence on Treasure Drive early Friday morning for a report of three juveniles entering a car. The deputies found one of the car windows had been broken and damage had been done to the ignition.
After searching the neighborhood, deputies found the suspects and chased them on foot through several backyards and alleys. While that was going on, Prescott Valley police arrived and set up a perimeter, which aided in the capture of all three suspects.
The juveniles, ages 13 and 14, were arrested on several charges, including attempted theft, burglary, resisting arrest and ID theft.
