Alumni update time. Former Yavapai College softball player Emily Darwin has put together a successful season for Grand Canyon University. She is 9-2 with a 2.38 ERA, 41 strikeouts, and 19 walks in 53 innings.
Two former local athletes were recognized for their accomplishments in the classroom. Ex-Prescott tennis player Leyton Fetty and ex-Chino Valley soccer player Delyn Bannan were both named Paradise Valley Community College Scholar-Athletes. Both had GPAs above 3.25.
The Yavapai College volleyball team is putting on an overnight camp. It’s for girls ages 10 to 16 and takes place June 12th through the 14th. You can register at goroughriders.com/camps.
