Small Wildfire Breaks Out in Dewey

The Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority had to deal with another small wildfire, this one in Dewey. It broke out Wednesday afternoon in the Blue Hills area. A passerby aided in firefighting efforts before CAFMA crews arrived on the scene. Thanks to their efforts, the blaze was stopped before it could reach a nearby home. No injuries were reported. CAFMA officials say the cause of the fire was trash burning that got out of control.

Everyone is reminded that the Tri-City area is under stage one fire restrictions. This means no residential burn permits will be issued.
