Almost two years ago, on June 28th, 2022, Sergeant Rick “RLO” Lopez was fatally shot while attempting to arrest a suspect. Lopez, who served fourteen years with the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, was a well-known blood donor.
Blood drives to honor Sergeant Rick “RLO” Lopez will be held on Friday, June 28th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Prescott Police Department, located at 222 South Marina Street in the meeting room.
Another drive will be on Saturday, June 29th, from noon to 5 p.m. at the Hampton Inn and Suites Prescott Valley, located at 2091 North Glassford Hill Road in the first-floor conference room.
