Fire Danger Very High In Prescott Nat’l Forest

Recent monsoon storms have slightly reduced the fire danger level in the Prescott National Forest from ‘Extreme’ to ‘Very High.’ While this marks a decrease, the danger remains significant.

Visitors to the forest are reminded that Stage One fire restrictions are currently in place. These restrictions prohibit building and maintaining campfires or stove fires outside designated areas. Additionally, smoking is only permitted within an enclosed vehicle or building, and the use of a firearm is prohibited.
