After the offensive frenzy that was the Northern Arizona/San Antonio game last Sunday, it’s not much of a surprise that someone from the Wranglers would be selected as one of the IFL’s Players of the Week. In fact, two Wranglers earned that distinction.
Quarterback Joshua Jones was named the league’s Offensive Player of the Week. He threw six touchdown passes and rushed for two more scores to propel NAZ to a 74-68 victory. This is the second time this season Jones was named Offensive Player of the Week.
In addition, Tramond Lofton was named the IFL Special Teams Player of the Week. He blocked a field goal attempt and a PAT by the Gunslingers.
Big game coming up tomorrow for Northern Arizona as they host San Diego. The Wranglers are in third place in the Western Conference and the Strike Force are tied for fourth with the Arizona Rattlers. Kick-off is 6:05 p.m.
