Wranglers Coach, ex-BMHS Football Coach Moran Passes Away

Northern Arizona Wranglers defensive line coach and former Bradshaw Mountain head football coach David Moran has passed away. Officials with the Wranglers say Moran suffered a heart attack prior to Saturday’s game with the San Diego Strike Force. Team and arena staff immediately came to Moran’s assistance to perform CPR. He was taken to the hospital for surgery, but passed away Monday evening.

A statement from the Wranglers reads, “Coach Moran was not just a coach to us; he was a beloved mentor and friend to this community. His dedication to the sport and his players was unparalleled, and his loss leaves a void that can never be filled. Coach Moran’s impact on our lives cannot be overstated. His passion for the game and his unwavering belief in his players’ abilities pushed them to be better both on and off the field.”

Moran had been on the Wranglers coaching staff since the team’s inception four years ago. He was also Bradshaw Mountain’s head coach from 2014-16.
