Drivers who use Highway 69 in Prescott will notice changes on a one-mile segment beginning Monday.
ADOT’s $9.8 million improvement project will widen the highway, adding one lane in each direction between Prescott Lakes Parkway and the Yavpe Connector. When completed, that part of the highway will have six lanes and a raised median.
Most of the work will take place overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. Business access will be maintained, however, that part of 69 will be reduced to one lane and the speed limit will be 35 miles per hour. Two lanes in each direction will be maintained during daytime hours.
The project should be completed in Fall 2025.
