Wednesday night, a man allegedly impersonating a firefighter caused panic in Congress by falsely telling residents to evacuate amid a wildfire. The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office identified the impostor as Patrick Parent, who had been dismissed from the Yarnell Fire Department months ago.

Parent was booked on charges including DUI, impersonating a public servant, criminal nuisance, and disorderly conduct.
