Construction for the 9.8 million dollar ADOT, State Route-69 widening project started this month.
The project will construct one additional travel lane along SR-69 in each direction between Prescott Lakes Parkway and the Yavapai Connector. Prescott Mayor Phil Goode described the implications to a popular area trail.
With colder temperatures coming in a couple of months, Mayor Goode also explained that construction could go past the 9 month mark depending on winter conditions.
