Another week of overnight lane restrictions on I-17. Both the northbound and southbound lanes will be reduced to one lane between Bumble Bee Road and New River Road starting between 6 and 7 p.m. and ending around 6 or 7 a.m. through Saturday. The restrictions are needed to accommodate earthwork and pole installation for the new flex lanes. Those traveling through the area should be aware of reduced speeds and construction personnel and equipment, and allow for extra time to reach your destination.
In addition, there will be a full closure of southbound I-17 in the area of Sunset Point Wednesday and Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. A detour will be set up at Bumble Bee Road.
The I-17 improvement project should be completed next year.
