Crews have finished constructing the temporary access road to the City of Prescott’s solid waste facility. Excavation work has now commenced on the site of the new fee booth and scales. New curbs and gutters will be installed along Sundog Ranch Road, and new water mains and storm drains will be put in at a later date.
Motorists traveling through the area may encounter lane restrictions, rough road conditions, and flaggers directing traffic. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. The project should be completed later this year.
Meantime, access to the transfer station, Peavine Trail, and Yavapai Humane Society will be open during this project.
