PPD Gives Back to School Online Safety Tips

School is back in session, and many parents like to post photos of their children on social media to celebrate the occasion. But Prescott Police Department officials warn there is a danger in doing that. Putting certain information about children online could make them a target for predators. Police say you should not post your child’s age, the name of their school, or the name of their teacher, as this information could be used by predators.

Things that are safe to post concerning your child are good grades, their favorite subject in school, and what they want to be when they grow up.
