Two wildfires are burning in Yavapai County. Officials with the Bureau of Land Management say the Skeleton Fire near Black Canyon City began Saturday from a lightning strike. The blaze has burned over three thousand acres of grass and brush in a remote area of the Agua Fria National Monument.
Another, smaller wildfire is burning five miles north of the Skeleton Fire. The Badger Fire also started from a lightning strike and has burned 35 acres. Fire crews have achieved 90-percent containment on that fire.
