Wildfire Risk Reduction Project in Williamson Valley

The State Department of Forestry and Fire Management has begun a wildfire risk reduction project in Williamson Valley. The Granite Oaks project is taking place on 263 acres of land nine miles northwest of Prescott.

The Granite Oaks project should be completed by the end of the year. In addition, Forestry and Fire Management crews are conducting another fuel reduction project near the Stoneridge neighborhood in Prescott Valley. The Charcoal Gulch project encompasses 600 acres of land.
