ERAU Volleyball Dispatches MSU-Northern in Season Opener

Set number one did not work out the way the Embry-Riddle volleyball team would have liked as they came up short to Montana State-Northern 25-22. The Lady Eagles’ struggles continued in set number two as they trailed 12-8 at one point. But a couple of big ace serves by Hie Loui and a couple of big kills by Dalia Haase turned around Riddle’s fortunes as they went on to win 25-23. Two more tight sets with the Lady Lights followed, with the Lady Eagles pulling out both of them 25-21 and 25-23 to get the 3-1 match victory in their season opener Thursday.

Haase ended the match with 14 kills. Katie Rolle recorded 47 assists, 14 digs, and seven kills. Emma Barber posted 12 kills and ten digs.

Embry-Riddle is back in action today at the Montana Tech tournament with matches against Dakota Wesleyan and the University of Providence.
