The fall sports season gets going for real this week at Yavapai College. It starts Friday with the women’s soccer team hosting the Roughrider Showcase at Ken Lindley Field in Prescott. Game number one is Friday at 12:30 p.m. when the Lady Riders take on the Arizona Christian JV. YC’s second game is Saturday at 12:30 p.m. versus Snow College. The Lady Riders’ time in the showcase concludes Sunday at 2 p.m. versus Gillette College.
The Yavapai College volleyball team also sees a ton of action this week. They host Ottawa University in a scrimmage Wednesday at 6 p.m. This coming weekend, the Lady Riders head south to begin the season for real when they take part in the Arizona Western Tournament.
The men’s soccer team, meanwhile, will have another scrimmage this coming Saturday when they head to Scottsdale to take on Avondale Premier. The Roughriders’ first actual match of the season is scheduled for next Tuesday at Fullerton College in California.
